Public Webcast: San Francisco Bay Water Quality Trading Program Update

• Description: The Nutrients Watershed Permit (NPDES CA0038873, Order R2-2024-0013), issued July 2024 by the SF Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board, sets Total Inorganic Nitrogen (TIN) limits for wastewater dischargers into SF Bay. The Permit explicitly allows a nutrient trading program as a compliance option. BACWA and The Freshwater Trust will present an update on the development of a water quality trading program.
