SUMMARY:Summit Partners – PFAS Order Workshop #2
DESCRIPTION:Register now for Tuesday\, October 28th\, from 9 AM to 1 PM for the next series of virtual presentations by clean water professionals and regulators about the State Water Board’s investigative order of PFAS at publicly owned treatment works. \nThere will be no charge to participate\, and the event is being sponsored by the Clean Water Summit Partners (BACWA\, CASA\, CVCWA\, CWEA\, and SCAP). \n\nSpeakers will include managers from clean water agencies discussing QAPPs and SLAPs\, commercial laboratory representatives discussing best practices\, a legal perspective on responding to the questionnaire and data disclaimers due to lack of EPA approved test methods\, toxicologists sharing about the risk of PFAS for human health exposure and OEHHA’s corresponding work\, and PFAS researchers examining the fate of PFAS at long term biosolids application sites. Confirmed speakers include Amber Baylor (SOCWA)\, Syljohn Estil (LACSD)\, Lyndy Lewis (Western Municipal Water District)\, Ian Pepper (University of Arizona)\, Patrick Veasy (Downey Brand)\, and Brett Winters (GSI).
